Tahir Mahmood
Tahir graduated in 2003 from City University London with a BSc (Hons) degree in Business Computing Systems. He has worked in the IT sector with SchlumbergerSema, and more recently in the Islamic brokerage sector with Dawnay, Day & Co. Ltd. He joined Ashton Commodities in February 2005 as Assistant Manager to enhance and develop the existing electronic systems for Islamic Treasury Brokerage business and standardise the contractual documentation. Tahir has good links with Sharia'a with a particular emphasis on innovation of new Islamic products and Sharia'a compliance. Tahir has completed the Investment Management Certificate with the Securities & Investment Institute (SII) in London, and is an Associate Member of the SII.
